SLIP-N-SLIDE

We went to a playdate at a friend's house who had a slip-n-slide. I immediately rushed out to buy one after seeing how much fun Brayden had. Here we are in the back yard sliping and sliding. I wish these were video clips cause the screaming that goes with the sliding is hilarious. I had trouble picking just one photo to put on here. To see them bigger just click on the picture.

4th of July

happy 4th! We went to a backyard BBQ this year at a friends house. Brayden had a blast playing in the water and drinking red and blue snow cones. I was so busy making sure Brayden didn't steal anyone else's cookies I didn't have a chance to take pictures. Later we went to dinner with Nanny and G-daddy and watched the fireworks off their back deck. Brayden wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry when he saw the close ones.

Lake LBJ Trip

Bill's parents rented a lake house on lake LBJ for the week so we packed our bags and headed up there. It was so much fun, at one point there were 18 family members there. Brayden loved every minute of it!.
Hi Kitty! Brayden LOVES the cats and ducks that were at the house. He learned to say "quack, quack" and screamed whenever he saw a kitty.

Brayden in his make-shift baby pool. He loved it, he kept taking water bottles to the pool and then diving in.


Grandma loved squirting whip cream in Brayden's mouth, but not near as much as Brayden did.

summer fun!

Brayden loves summertime. The baby pool is so great and the hose is so much better than that. We go out almost every day to take a dip, these pictures are from two different days. What are we going to do when it gets cold??

CORN!!

We went to dinner for Abby's birthday tonight and Brayden loved the corn. We ordered him a grilled cheese and broccoli and he only wanted the broccoli and dad's corn on the cob. The pictures were hilarious. The b-day dinner was great. The best comment of the dinner... "G-daddy, I have waited my entire life to turn 6" - Abby (the birthday girl).

Brayden 16 months

It is so hard to get good pictures of Brayden these days because he is constantly moving. I swear he never sits still. I tried to get a couple of good ones with his cute ELMO shirt, but this is all I could come up with. The best part of 16 months is the head nodding. You can ask Brayden any question and he answers with a yes head nod. Even if you ask him "Do you love getting your face cleaned after eating pudding?" He just nods YES.

PUDDING

Ok, so I know every picture we take of Brayden he is eating, but it's what he does best and he's happy when he's eating which makes him smile, which makes me think - oh I'll take a picture. These are especially good cause the pudding is EVERYWHERE. He loves chocolate, just like his mom.

The Wiggles!

Hot potato, hot potato. Brayden and his friend Samantha are watching the Wiggles. They may not be very good at sharing toys but they sure are good at sharing the ottoman for a little Wiggle action.

Lucky Duck!

One of Brayden's first words was DUCK! and it's still the clearest word he says, so I got him this cute outfit that says lucky duck. These pictures are so cute.

Please mom, I'm trying to sleep.

This face is priceless, it's the face we get when Brayden is super tired in the car and we can't stop looking at him and saying how cute he is. Minutes after this face we get open mouth drool face, which is not quite as cute.

Chance and Cole come to visit

Mikey and the boys came up to visit for a short weekend and Brayden had a blast playing with his cousins. Check out Chance on the swing, not sure how I got him in mid spin, but the face says it all.

Easter

The bunny came and hid eggs in our backyard for Brayden. He found the first couple of eggs, but once he found out there was something in the eggs, he had to stop and eat the entire contents before moving on. This made the egg hunting rather long and boring for mom and dad, but Brayden enjoyed himself.

Dinner at Brentwod Tavern

We took Brayden to dinner on Friday night at the Brentwood Tavern. They have a playscape there and a live band and tons of kids, so he was super happy. I think he ate his entire dinner and danced the whole time. This picture was taken on the way there. He had on his new hawaiian shirt and sunglasses from Grandma and PawPaw - too cute!

Happy Easter - Brayden's Egg Hunt

Stroller fit had an easter Egg hunt last week and Brayden was READY. I was surprised to see how well he did finding the eggs and putting them in his basket, but atfter he found out there was candy inside he was no longer interested in picking up more eggs, just eating the contents of the ones he had. I also had trouble keeping him out of everyone else's basket.

Cookie Monster

I made Easter cookies this week and as you can tell Brayden loved them!!! Now when he sees them on the counter he immediatley begins to beg for one. I think I have created a cookie monster!

I know ya'll are thinking why does he have purple icing on his face...and all I can say is it's a long, boring story.

Zoey and Brayden

We went to Angleton this past weekend for Granddaddy's funeral. And despite the circumstances we had a great time. Brayden especially enjoyed seeing his cousin Zoey.

They played together.

Then watched TV together.

And then Brayden tried to shut Zoey in the fridge...I guess she wouldn't give him the mustard.

All boxed in.

We have to keep thinking of new ways to entertain Brayden. Today we made a secret ticket booth out of foam blocks, tomorrow it will be car.

Brayden at 13 months

This is one of my favorite pictures of Brayden. He has turned into such a little man. Some of his favorites...dogs (esp. Lily), birds, Strollerfit, swinging, reading and ELMO. Oh and getting into trouble.
