Easter 2008

Easter was pretty fun this year. We didn't do anything special just hunted eggs in the living room on Easter morning. Cody is still trying to sit up. He can do it for a short time by himself but then topples over pretty fast. The Easter bunny was really good to the kids this year and brought lots of fun toys. It is amazing when you are a kid just how many holidays require presents. Here are some fun pictures of the kids on Easter morning.

Houston Rodeo

We went to the Houston rodeo this year with Chance and Cole. We stayed with Mikey on Wed. night and then drove into Houston Thurs. morning. The kids had a BLAST riding on the carnival rides and playing games. The hit had to be the pig races though. They have these pigs that race around a ring and they name them hilarious names, like "Britney SpareRibs, Brad Pigg, Hillary RodHAM Clinton, BaRACK o' ribs Obama and Tony Porker - SA Spurs. It was great to see them race around the ring. They also had a swimming pig, no lie this pig jumps into a trough of water and swims to the other side. It was hilarious, but not as hilarious as the pooping pig that you get when you leave. The pig is a keychain and you squeeze the pig and poop comes out its behind. Brayden of course LOVED this part of the rodeo and talked about it for the next week. I wish I had a picture of the pooping pig but you'll just have to take my word for it.

Dyeing Easter Eggs

Easter was fun this year. Brayden and I dyed 11 eggs this year and put Spiderman tattoos on them. Here is he eating the 12th egg.BeforeAfter, notice all the St. Patty's day tattoos, apparently we are into tattoos these days.Cody woke up and wondered what happened.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Nani bought the boys some green clothes for St. Patty's Day. We didn't do much to celebrate but we did put some great tattoos on.

Bouncing Chair

So anything Brayden didn't like as a baby, Cody loves. So I had forgotten about this bouncer since Brayden didn't like it much. I think Cody laughed for 10 minutes when I put him in it.

We will for sure be visiting it again this summer.starting the day offMom did you see those sea loins?Watching the sea lion show.cold drink makes me happyCody can sleep anywhereBill and Bray by the sharks

Brayden sleeps!!

So if you know us you know Brayden doesn't sleep. No naps and he wakes up all night. I always say he has more energy than 10 monkeys and he is ALWAYS moving. On this particular day we were up at 6:45am and hadn't stopped all day. He finally crashed standing up. It was so funny to see him asleep standing up, poor thing, if he could just find some way to sleep this good in his bed :)

Smiling friends

Best friends already. Brayden is so in love with Cody. I think he is thrilled that he has another playmate and someone to talk to. Of course Cody is in love with him too. Who wouldn't love to watch someone with the energy to 10 monkeys run around all day.

Brayden turns 3!!

Brayden picked Chuck E Cheese for his birthday this year. He is really into spiderman right now too so that was the theme. He opened presents for a solid week, we tried to do 5 or 6 a day each day for a week because he had soooo many. It is nice to be so loved but we will need to get a bigger house if we get any more toys. Here are a bunch of pictures from the event.playing games, his favorite thing to do.with Patrick, notice the coins flying!!with friends Travis and Phillip from school

5 months already

Hard to believe, I know I always say this but wow how time flies. Cody is eating solids and loving them. So far carrots are his favorite. He still doesn't move much, I think he has rolled over 4 times total. I would say he is lazy but I don't want to jinx my lovely sleeping child.

Mr. Smiley

Cody is so sweet, he is constantly smiling and such a flirt. He is learning new things everyday like rolling over, eating cereal, teething and how to be entertained by Brayden. I am of course learning new things too. Like that I cannot get out the door on time anymore. I hate to be late, I would rather arrive 30 minutes early someplace and wait than be late. Well I am having to adapt because getting two kids ready, myself ready and all the stuff we have to have out the door on time is hard to say the least. I know at some point I have to get the routine down but it is not as easy as it seemed at first. Having two kids really isn't bad though, I have to say that the second one is a piece of cake compared to the first. Call it new mom jitters or whatever it is just better. Here are some new fun pics of Cody. His favorite place to sleep during the day Cody - I like your hair
Grinch - Ya, I like yours too.

Baseball star

Bill bought Brayden a baseball tee the other day and he is obsessed with it now. He goes out just to hit, but of course he always wants an audience so I am following him out there to cheer him on. He likes to be announced first just like in the big leagues. I am surprised at how far he can hit it and how often he connects perfectly with the ball. Here is a little video of the event.

Cody is 4 months old

I feel like I just posted that Cody was 3 months, but I guess that was a whole Christmas ago. He has survived his first Christmas and his first illness. He has been sick with RSV a respiratory virus for 3 weeks now. Although we can tell that he doesn't feel well, he is still smiling and talking and just a little bit unhappy. He is feeling better this week just in time for 4 months. Here are the pictures.

Brayden's 1st camping experience

Bill is so excited to finally have a camping buddy. (My motto is, if there is someplace to sleep inside, why are we sleeping outside.) So he set up the tent and all the equipment and showed Brayden how a lantern worked. They made a fire and roasted marshmallows (Brayden's favorite part). It was really funny watching how excited they both were. I think they were all inside the house asleep by 11:30pm but it was cute.
