Cody and Meeko

Cody loves playing with Meeko. He is such a great cat and puts up with alot from both kids. Meeko is in the box and Cody is poking his fingers in to get him to play.

McDaniel Vacation 2008 -part one

We took the annual trip to the lake this year with our family. This year by far was the best for me because the kids had soooo much fun. It was great to see everyone and spend some fun time together.We just arrived and already a big smile.A very talented duo, esp. the one who can pick his nose and swim at the same time.Cody and his cousin Lilly, born two days apartCody has a crush on Mary BethMary Beth, Brayden and Zoey on the crabBrayden spent a lot of time jumping off the dock, arms spread just like Buzz LightyearBrayden praying that the weekend never ends.

Brayden's first time on the UFO Buzz Lightyear - "to infinity and beyond!" Slip-and-slide I can't believe I can still do this! Cody enjoyed it too. Cody in the pool He has the cutest dimple and he loves to show it off

Swimming fish

Brayden loves to swim and he is getting braver and braver. Here are a couple of really good ones of him jumping off the diving board at my mom's house.

Feeding the ducks

We took the boys to the arboretum to feed the ducks at the pond. I am guessing not many people do this because the ducks were hungry and were a little fiesty. Brayden had fun going through an entire loaf of bread. Nanny got pecked a little so we headed for the icecream shop instead.


Cody just woke up and was wondering what in the world we were doing.

Wimberely

Bill read about this great swimming hole called the "blue hole" in Wimberely, Texas. He convinced me to come with him to try it out. We found the blue hole but it was closed for a private party - who would have known you could close a swimming hole. So we went down the road a little to the river and jumped in. The boys had a great time splashing in the water. I guess we will have to make another trip down there soon to see the blue hole.The water was so clear!

Brayden "graduates" frrom school

Brayden loves his preschool and he loved his teacher Ms. Gwyneth. He had such a blast learning and playing with all his friends. Brayden and Kate walking in.

Best Friends

So Brayden has a great best friend - Kate, who he adores. Anytime I mention that we are going to Kate's house or meeting Kate somewhere he grabs his shoes and is so motivated to get out the door he practically packs my bags. He doesn't usually talk about any of his friends but if I mention Kate he always has something to say. It's so fun to see him like someone so much.

Brotherly love

Brayden loves his little brother and the feeling from Cody is mutual. Brayden just has to look at Cody to make him smile and if he jumps up and down Cody is belly laughing. They are the best of friends already and so close. After Cody's nap was over today Brayden wanted to go get him up. He climbed the giraffe beside Cody's bed and hopped in. Cody was surprised and happy to see big brother was there.

Cody's first time at the pool

I took both the boys to Lifetime Fitness today to swim in the huge pool outside. I don't have any pictures of them at the pool because two kids and a body of water is enough for one person, I did not need to complicate things with a camera, esp. since it isn't waterproof. Here are the before pictures. Cody had a blast and loved splashing the in water and Brayden always loves the pool.

Meeko update

Meeko is settling in nicely at our house. He is super friendly and so much fun during the day. He loves being with the kids and loves Brayden picking him up and carrying him all around. He loves to play with all the kids toys and he and Lily have become good friends now too. He is a little hard to handle at night because he is constantly licking Bill and I and upsetting Lily but we are confident that he will grow out of this stage. Until then he likes to hang out in all Cody's fun spots.
